PU LLB Entrance Exam 2025: Panjab University will announce the PU LLB Entrance Exam Counselling Dates 2025 anytime soon. The University announced the PU LLB Entrance Exam Result 2025 on July 15, 2025. Panjab University conducted the PU LLB Entrance Exam on June 29, 2025. PU LLB Entrance exam was held in pen-and-paper mode. For admission to three-year LLB programmes at the Department of Laws, Punjab University, Chandigarh, Punjab University Regional Centre, Muktsar (Punjab), UIL, Punjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana (Punjab), and UILS, Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Bajwara, Hoshiarpur, the University hosted the PU LLB Entrance Exam 2025. Candidates should be aware that the PU LLB Entrance Exam 2025 merit rankings or scores will be utilised to create a shortlist of applicants for counselling and admission process. What is PU LLB?

The PU LLB entrance exam is conducted by Panjab University for admissions to three-year LLB courses and five-year BA LLB and B.Com LLB offered at its Department of Law and constituent colleges. The exam was held in a pen-paper-mode test in three languages i.e. English, Hindi, and Punjabi. The PU LLB Exam had three sections - Current Affairs and GK, Legal Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability and English. The PU LLB question paper included a total of 100 objective-type questions that had to be answered in 90 minutes. As many as 480 LLB seats are offered through the law entrance exam. 

PU LLB Counselling 2025

Punjab University conducts the counselling of PU LLB in offline mode. Candidates who are included in the merit list are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The PU LLB 2025 counselling will include steps like document verification; it is mandatory to complete the verification process. Candidates whose verification process is unsuccessful will no longer be considered for admission in the next round. The seat allotment will be based on the merit rank of the candidate, with higher-ranked candidates to be given priority. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the following criteria, in case of ties: 

  1. A candidate getting a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (bachelor's degree) shall rank higher in order of merit.

  2. If the marks, as mentioned in (i) are also the same then the candidate obtaining a higher percentage of marks in the immediate lower exam shall rank higher in order of merit.

  3. If two or more candidates secure equal marks in (i) and (ii) above, the candidate senior in age shall rank higher in order of merit
